I could never figure out how to overcome the crashing or I would still be using Wabbajack because I didn't have a week to sit around trying to install mods, read all the how-tos and get them to work.Īnyway, I just gave up and started using Vortex with about 1/3 of those mods and I haven't had a single crash, but I do have a few NPC texture issues, which are insignificant and too much of a PITA to troubleshoot. The crash-fest always happened, despite carefully following the simple instructions, where you remove old ini files, mod managers, do the fresh, run-once install of Skyrim VR (allow decrypt/unpack), etc. Nothing else runs on my VR machine other than my active game. My very clean, dedicated VR machine runs on an AMD 2700X, RTX 2080ti, 32GB RAM, 960 Pro NVMEs. Maybe the Ultimate VR list had too many mods and saves were getting corrupted? I tried it over the last few versions, using the Ultimate VR modlist with the same results. TL DR: I loved Wabbajack (seemed like a God-send), but every attempt to use Wabbajack ended up where, after several hours of play, I would crash more and more to the point where the game was unplayable.
